Informal Family Session

As I mentioned in my previous post, my wife's family all came to SC to spend a week at the beach the second week in August.  It was a fun and laid back vacation in Garden City Beach and all 20 of us stayed in one big beach house.  Suzanne wanted me to bring all of my camera gear so we could take some casual family pictures on the beach.  We didn't end up attempting the pictures until the last evening we were there and that's the time of day the rain and wind decided to show up as well.  We did what we could with a ton of wind and constant rain drops on my lenses and I was pretty happy with how they turned out.

An 80th Birthday Bash!

My wife's grandmother, "Grandjan," had her 80th birthday in late July and since the entire family was going to be together for a trip to the beach in August they decided it would be a perfect time to throw her a party.  I'm pretty sure this was the best 80th birthday party ever.  200+ people came to celebrate Grandjan's 80 years.  Over the years she was a teacher, a coach to the national champions for a HS academic team, a philanthropist in the community, an active member in her church, a book club attendee, a bridge club host, a caring friend, and the list could go on and on.  It's not a wonder that so many people came to celebrate!  It was a fun time with the family and I enjoyed photographing the event.

 

 

 

Brian & Carley Engagement Session

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of taking engagement pictures for some awesome friends, Brian and Carley.  Suzanne and I couldn't be more excited for them and their upcoming wedding.  We drove up to Greenville for this shoot and as soon as we got there, the sky turned dark gray.  I have to admit we were a little nervous it was going to ruin our evening but after a quick shower the rain clouds went away and we had great weather.  Here are some of my favorite shots from the shoot.

Lee & Stani - Sneak Peek

I have been working on these for the last couple weeks and wanted to go ahead and share a sneak peek of Lee & Stani's wedding.  Suzanne and I had so much fun shooting their wedding! We also had the privilege to do their engagement photos and Stani's portrait's.  It was great getting to know this awesome couple who is very much in love! Congrats to the happy couple.  Here is just a sneak peek of the wedding, I'll share the rest when I'm finished editing.
