Do you charge for travel? CND Photography is based in Columbia, SC. There will be no travel fee for up to 50 miles outside of Columbia. Further travel will incur additional charges depending on distance of session.
What equipment do you use? I use all professional Nikon equipment. I have three camera bodies, six lenses and two flashes.
Why do you give clients a CD instead of having an online gallery to purchase prints? I do not feel that it is right to hold onto the pictures and make my clients pay for each print. In the days of only film photography, the photographer had to spend a lot of money on film and developing pictures was much more expensive. Now that things have gone digital, it doesn't make sense for me to hold your pictures hostage and make you pay for them individually. I will give you a CD with all of the pictures from your session/event so you can make as many prints as you like.
Do you edit the pictures from each session? Yes! Editing is a big part of my photography business. I try to make the pictures as great as possible while I'm taking them however I use Adobe Photoshop on each image for touch up so the picture is perfect.
What time do you arrive on the wedding day? I like to start taking pictures two hours in advance so I can get some shots of the bridal party getting ready, posed shots of some of the wedding party, and get the detail pictures (brides bouquet, wedding bands, wedding dress, etc). However, the package you choose has the hours of coverage you get. You can have me arrive earlier or later, whichever you prefer.
Will there be an assistant or second photographer at my session/wedding? My wife Suzanne is almost always with me when I do a session or event but is not guaranteed to be there. If she is with me at a regular session she acts as my assistant and is a great second set of eyes. At a wedding she will do both assisting and some shooting.
